Financial Woes

It is with interest that i read the today’s Jamaica Observer one story in particular caught my attention . University resumes bank overdraft credit to survive.
From my reading i gathered that the governments around the region are unable to to disburse committed funds to the campus in a timely manner. While some governments have committed to reducing the amount of support they give to the territory institutions . Just as a point of information The UWI is a regional institution that which serves the commonwealth Caribbean . Checks with the Principals annual report reveal that ” In the 2008–09 year, Governments’ contribution to the Campus’s total budget stood at 55%. The remaining 45% (derived from tuition fees, investment income, full fee-paying programmes, commercial property, administrative services and donor fees) “. With such a dependence on the government it is no wonder that the university is facing hardships.
The other major problem of course is the perennial one of Students Loan Bureau and student financing problems . Among some of the responses sought by the “New full-fee paying programmes in Medicine, Law, Dentistry and established programmes like the Masters in Accounting and Human Resource Management are making significant
contributions to our net revenues” The effect of full fee paying programmes is that the brunt of the pressure is on the student with no help from the government . In times like these one must be wise in how he uses his money and also faithful to God in tithes and offerings , my message is though the financial out look is bleak with God there is hope .

The Illuminati videos do more harm than good

There has been a rapid spread across social media of these Illuminati videos , theses videos claiming various things such as which celebrity is evil , which celebrity sacrificed someone to get their fame and a whole host of other allegations .In my opinion the many illuminati and music conspiracy videos available on the web do more harm than good . I will readily admit that there are things going on behind the scenes and the bible tells us that there is spiritual wickedness in high places ( Ephesians 6:12 ) . Once again i do believe that there are indeed secret societies and other sinister organizations . here are some of the reasons why i believe that theses videos do more harm than good

1. They spread rumors about people

2. They throw disinformation mixing truth with error and speculating and truth with error is still error .

3 . Its a 7 day wonder , many of the people who watch these videos and are convinced that person A is evil , as soon as his/her new song is out they are out singing them .

while i do  have aversions to the music industry  , its not because of these Illuminati videos , my problem is much bigger but that’s for another post  🙂

A Deeper more intimate Experience with God,

This Ay Program is for those who want a Deeper more intimate Experience with God, and if you take this program to heart I believe that God will bless you, and take you higher and higher to places you cannot imagine. (Have a Prayer)

Now this evening what we are Going to be talking about is Fasting, I had decided to do a fast because I have exams coming up and I wasn’t going to share these details with anyone but last night after praying for the lord to lead in the preparation of the Ay program I put a sermon that I downloaded onto my mp3 prayer and began to listen. God certainly ordained this because the man began to speak about this self same subject, The Sabbath school lesson this week mentions fasting, and as sister berry was leading out in Sabbath school this morning she also mentioned fasting so I am certain that this is the right Topic to speak on.

The speakers name is Pastor Martin Kim and he began by telling us how his friend found a book about fasting by Gentinson franklyn a Sunday church pastor  who had been fasting from his youth and has been receiving tremendous blessings from God , He decided to share his experience with his Church And they too received  church also receiving tremendous blessing after doing the Daniel fast for 21 days.  As she read the book she was inspired and so she decided to do the fast. In the  book it was called a Daniel Fast (now when I heard this I knew that this was what God wanted me to present about because totally unrelated thus was the name I chose for my fast, well actually I called mine a Daniel diet but I thought that this was more than a coincidence.) And the friend saw such good results that she told her parents and Her parents after seeing so many answered prayer in their daughters life began to do the Daniel Fast as well , God has been blessing her parents as much . They prayed for relatives who left God who would never have come back to him some of them started to come back.

She shared her testimony with the Young people and many of the young people in her church were convinced and began fasting and God has answered many of their prayers, so she shared this testimony with Pastor Kim.  Her personal belief is that in the last days the only way that Gods spirit will be poured out is we fast. The pastor said that after he read the book the very next day he was praying to God for counsel as to whether he should fast , and in his devotion he read the verse in Mark 9:28 and 29 which talks about some things only coming through fasting and prayer

DID YOU KNOW THAT Jesus Actually mentions fasting in the greatest sermon ever preached? What is the greatest sermon ever preached?  Answer the Sermon on the Mount which can be found in Mathew chapter 5 and 6

Mathew   6:1      Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.    6:2 Therefore when thou doest [thine] alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.   6:3 But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: 6:4That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.   6:5And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites [are]: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.   6:6But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.   Verse 16 Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.   6:17 But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face;  6:18 That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.

Do you notice it says when you fast not if you fast , it is as iF Christ has a legitimate expectation that we should Fast, I dear say we all should. If it is one thing the devil hates more than praying it is fasting and prayer ! amen

Jesus in preparation  for his earthly ministry fasted for 40 days you can find this in Mathew chapter 4  , in Desire of ages we are told that Jesus  By fasting and prayer He was to brace Himself for the bloodstained path He must travel[1]. Friends look at the world we live in today, don’t you think we have to brace ourselves for what is coming by prayer and fasting? We have to prepare for the work that God would have us do . The apostle Paul fasted also  we are told this in 2nd Corinthians 11:27             In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness. 11:28 Beside those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the churches.

THIS IS SOME OF THE COUNSEL THAT WE FIND FROM THE BIBLE AND THE PEN OF INSPIRATION REGARDING FASTING .

As a Preparation for Study of the Scriptures

There are in the Scriptures some things which are hard to be understood, and which, according to the language of Peter, the unlearned and unstable wrest unto their own destruction. We may not, in this life, be able to explain the meaning of every passage of Scripture; but there are no vital points to practical truth that will be clouded in mystery. {CD 187.1}  [2]When the time shall come, in the providence of God, for the world to be tested upon the truth for that time, minds will be exercised by His Spirit to search the Scriptures, even with fasting and with prayer, until link after link is searched out, and united in a perfect chain.  {CD 187.2}  Every fact which immediately concerns the salvation of souls will be made so clear that none need err, or walk in darkness.  {CD 187.3}      300. Difficult points of present truth have been reached by the earnest efforts of a few who were devoted to the work. Fasting and fervent prayer to God have moved the Lord to unlock His treasuries of truth to their understanding.  {CD 187.4}       301. Those who sincerely desire truth will not be reluctant to lay open their positions for investigation and criticism, and will not be annoyed if their opinions and ideas are crossed. This was the spirit cherished among us forty years ago. We would come together burdened in soul, praying that we might be one in faith and doctrine; for we knew that Christ is not divided. One point at a time was made the subject of investigation. Solemnity characterized these councils of investigation. The Scriptures were opened with a sense of awe. Often we fasted, that we might be better fitted to understand the truth.  {CD 187.5}

John Wesley spent at least 2 hours a day in prayer , he was one of the great reformers he is also known as the founder of the Methodist church he too practiced and preached sermons about fasting.  Martin Luther and Many of the reformers also fasted regularly. He in particular prayed 3 hours every day , and these reformers did a great work. Reawkneing of the knowledge of God to Europe after the ravages of the Dark Ages and thus spread Protestantism to the World.

HAVE WE ANY RECORD OF A WHOLE CONGREGATION FASTING ?

The death of James caused great grief and consternation among the believers. When Peter also was imprisoned, the entire church engaged in fasting and prayer.  {AA 144.2}[3]  The day of Peter’s execution was at last appointed, but still the prayers of the believers ascended to heaven; and while all their energies and sympathies were called out in fervent appeals for help, angels of God were watching over the imprisoned apostle.  {AA 145.3}[4]    Remembering the former escape of the apostles from prison, Herod on this occasion had taken double precautions. To prevent all possibility of release, Peter had been put under the charge of sixteen soldiers, who, in different watches, guarded him day and night. In his cell he was placed between two soldiers and was bound by two chains, each chain being fastened to the wrist of one of the soldiers. He was unable to move without their knowledge. With the prison doors securely fastened, and a strong guard before them, all chance of rescue or escape through human means was cut off. But man’s extremity is God’s opportunity.  {AA 145.4}    Peter was confined in a rock-hewn cell, the doors of which were strongly bolted and barred; and the soldiers on guard were made answerable for the safekeeping of the prisoner. But the bolts and bars and the Roman guard, which effectually cut off all possibility of human aid, were but to make more complete the triumph of God in the deliverance of Peter. Herod was lifting his hand against Omnipotence, and he was to be utterly defeated. By the putting forth of His might, God was about to save the precious life that the Jews were plotting to destroy.  {AA 146.1}  It is the last night before the proposed execution. A mighty angel is sent from heaven to rescue Peter. The strong gates that shut in the saint of God open without the aid of human hands. The angel of the Most High passes through, and the gates close noiselessly behind him. He enters the cell, and there lies Peter, sleeping the peaceful sleep of perfect trust.  {AA 146.2}    The light that surrounds the angel fills the cell, but does not rouse the apostle. Not until he feels the touch of the angel’s hand and hears a voice saying, “Arise up quickly  does he awaken sufficiently to see his cell illuminated by the light of heaven, and an angel of great glory standing before him. Mechanically he obeys the word spoken to him, and as in rising he lifts his hands he is dimly conscious that the chains have fallen from his wrists.  {AA 146.3}  Again the voice of the heavenly messenger bids him, “Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals,” and again Peter mechanically obeys, keeping his wondering gaze riveted upon his visitor and believing himself to be dreaming or in a vision. Once more the angel commands, “Cast thy garment about thee, and follow me.” He moves toward the door, followed by the usually talkative Peter, now dumb from amazement. They step over the guard and reach the heavily bolted door, which of its own accord swings open and closes again immediately, while the guards within and without are motionless at their post.

Through Esther the queen the Lord accomplished a mighty deliverance for His people. At a time when it seemed that no power could save them, Esther and the women associated with her, by fasting and prayer and prompt action, met the issue, and brought salvation to their people.  {3BC 1140.1}

When Special Divine Help Is needed  302. For certain things, fasting and prayer are recommended and appropriate. In the hand of God they are a  means of cleansing the heart and promoting a receptive frame of mind. We obtain answers to our prayers because we humble our souls before God.  {CD 187.6}

Day of Atonement spent in fasting by the children of Israel   Sins of Israel Are Sins Today.–[Isaiah 58:1-4 quoted.] . . . The house of Jacob, at the time this warning was given to Isaiah, appeared to be a very zealous people, seeking God daily, and delighting to know His ways; but in reality they were filled with presumptuous self-confidence. They were not walking in the truth. Goodness, mercy, and love were not practiced. While presenting an appearance of sorrow for their sins, they were cherishing pride and avarice. At the very time when they were showing such outward humiliation, they would exact hard labor from those under them or in their employ. They placed a high estimate on all the good that they had done, but a very low estimate on the services of others. They despised and oppressed the poor. And their fasting only gave them a higher opinion of their own goodness.  {4BC 1149.8}  [5]

There are sins of this same character among us today, and they bring the rebuke of God upon His church. Wherever such sins are found, seasons of fasting and prayer are indeed necessary; but they must be accompanied with sincere repentance and decided reformation. Without such contrition of soul, these seasons only increase the guilt of the wrong-doer. The Lord has specified the fast He has chosen, the one He will accept. It is that which bears fruit to His glory, in repentance, in devotion, in true piety. [Isaiah 58:6, 7 quoted.]  {4BC 1150.1}   In the fast that God has chosen, mercy, tenderness, and compassion will be exercised. Avarice will be put away, and fraud and oppression will be repented of and renounced. All the authority and influence will be used to help the poor and oppressed. If this were the condition of the world, it would no more be a proverb, “Truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter;” “he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey” ({4BC 1150.2}

The true fasting which should be recommended to all, is abstinence from every stimulating kind of food, and the proper use of wholesome, simple food, which God has provided in abundance. Men need to think less about what they shall eat and drink of temporal food, and much more in regard to the food from heaven, that will give tone and vitality to the whole religious experience[6]

DO WE FIND EVIDENCE IN THE BIBLE OF AN ENTIRE NATION FASTING ?

Jehoshaphat was a man of courage and valor. For years he had been strengthening his armies and his fortified cities. He was well prepared to meet almost any foe; yet in this crisis he put not his trust in the arm of flesh. Not by disciplined armies and fenced cities, but by a living faith in the God of Israel, could he hope to gain the victory over these heathen who boasted of their power to humble Judah in the eyes of the nations.  {PK 198.4}  [7]Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the Lord, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah. And Judah gathered themselves together, to ask help of the Lord: even out of all the cities of Judah they came to seek the Lord.”  {PK 199.1} [8]     Standing in the temple court before his people, Jehoshaphat poured out his soul in prayer, pleading God’s promises, with confession of Israel’s helplessness. “O Lord God of our fathers” he petitioned, “art not Thou God in heaven? and rulest not Thou over all the kingdoms of the heathen? and in Thine hand is there not power and might, so that none is able to withstand Thee? Art not Thou our God, who didst drive out the inhabitants of this land before Thy people Israel, and gavest it to the seed of Abraham Thy friend forever? And they dwelt therein, and have built Thee a sanctuary therein for Thy name, saying, If, when evil cometh upon us, as the sword, judgment, or pestilence, or famine, we stand before this house, and in Thy presence, (for Thy name is in this house,) and cry unto Thee in our affliction, then Thou wilt hear and help.  {PK 199.2}

Fasting is also useful As a Remedy for Disease

309. Intemperate eating is often the cause of sickness, and what nature most needs is to be relieved of the undue burden that has been placed upon her. In many cases of sickness, the very best remedy is for the patient to fast for a meal or two, that the overworked organs of digestion may have an opportunity to rest. A fruit diet for a few days has often brought great relief to brain workers. Many times a short period of entire abstinence from food, followed by simple, moderate eating, has led to recovery through nature’s own recuperative effort. An abstemious diet for a month or two would convince many sufferers that the path of self-denial is the path to health.  {CD 189.3}  310. There are some who would be benefited more by abstinence from food for a day or two every week than by any amount of treatment or medical advice. To fast one day a week would be of incalculable benefit to them.  {CD 189.4}

IMPORTANT TO NOTE

307. All the fasting in the world will not take the place of simple trust in the word of God. “Ask,” He says, “and ye shall receive.” … You are not called upon to fast forty days. The Lord bore that fast for you in the wilderness of temptation. There would be no virtue in such a fast; but there is virtue in the blood of Christ.  {CD 189.1}

The spirit of true fasting and prayer is the spirit which yields mind, heart, and will to God. God will arouse His people; if other means fail, heresies will come in among them, which will sift them, separating the chaff from the wheat. The Lord calls upon all who believe His word to awake out of sleep. Precious light has come, appropriate for this time. It is Bible truth, showing the perils that are right upon us. This light should lead us to a diligent study of the Scriptures and a most critical examination of the positions which we hold. God would have all the bearings and positions of truth thoroughly and perseveringly searched, with prayer and fasting. Believers are not to rest in suppositions and ill-defined ideas of what constitutes truth. Their faith must be firmly founded upon the word of God so that when the testing time shall come and they are brought before councils to answer for their faith they may be able to give a reason for the hope that is in them, with meekness and fear.  {5T 707.3}  [9] Agitate, agitate, agitate. The subjects which we present to the world must be to us a living reality. [10]It is important that in defending the doctrines which we consider fundamental articles of faith we should never allow ourselves to employ arguments that are not wholly sound. These may avail to silence an opposer, but they do not honor the truth. We should present sound arguments, that will not only silence our opponents, but will bear the closest and most searching scrutiny.

>Strength to Resist Through Fasting and Prayer

Letter 73, 1896

712. If our appetites clamor for the flesh of dead animals, it is a necessity to fast and pray for the Lord to give His grace to deny fleshly lusts which war against the soul.   [FASTING BENEFICIAL IN CHANGING FROM A DIET OF FLESH MEAT AND RICH FOODS—  CD chapter 23

Mathew 17 :verse 14 – 21 THIS IS A CHAPTER TO HIGHLOGHt AND STUDY IN YOUR BIBLE

While they were waiting at the foot of the mountain, a father had brought to them his son, to be delivered from a dumb spirit that tormented him. Authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, had been conferred on the disciples when Jesus sent out the twelve to preach through Galilee. As they went forth strong in faith, the evil spirits had obeyed their word. Now in the name of Christ they commanded the torturing spirit to leave his victim; but the demon only mocked them by a fresh display of his power. The disciples, unable to account for their defeat, felt that they were bringing dishonor upon themselves and their Master. And in the crowd there were scribes who made the most of this opportunity to humiliate them. Pressing around the disciples, they plied them with questions, seeking to prove that they and their Master were deceivers. Here, the rabbis triumphantly declared, was an evil spirit that neither the disciples nor Christ Himself could conquer. The people were inclined to side with the scribes, and a feeling of contempt and scorn pervaded the crowd.  {DA 427.2}

But suddenly the accusations ceased. Jesus and the three disciples were seen approaching, and with a quick revulsion of feeling the people turned to meet them. The night of communion with the heavenly glory had left its trace upon the Saviour and His companions. Upon their countenances was a light that awed the beholders. The scribes drew back in fear, while the people welcomed Jesus.  {DA 427.3}   As if He had been a witness of all that had occurred, the Saviour came to the scene of conflict, and fixing His gaze upon the scribes inquired, “What question ye with them?”  {DA 427.4}   But the voices so bold and defiant before were now silent. A hush had fallen upon the entire company. Now the afflicted father made his way through the crowd, and falling at the feet of Jesus, poured out the story of his trouble and disappointment.  {DA 427.5}

“Master,” he said, “I have brought unto Thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit; and wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him: . . . and I spake to Thy disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not.”  {DA 428.1}  Jesus looked about Him upon the awe-stricken multitude, the caviling scribes, the perplexed disciples. He read the unbelief in every heart; and in a voice filled with sorrow He exclaimed, “O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you?” Then He bade the distressed father, “Bring thy son hither.”  {DA 428.2}   The boy was brought, and as the Saviour’s eyes fell upon him, the evil spirit cast him to the ground in convulsions of agony. He lay wallowing and foaming, rending the air with unearthly shrieks.  {DA 428.3}

Again the Prince of life and the prince of the powers of darkness had met on the field of battle,–Christ in fulfillment of His mission to “preach deliverance to the captives, . . . to set at liberty them that are bruised” (Luke 4:18), Satan seeking to hold his victim under his control. Angels of light and the hosts of evil angels, unseen, were pressing near to behold the conflict. For a moment, Jesus permitted the evil spirit to display his power, that the beholders might comprehend the deliverance about to be wrought.  {DA 428.4}  The multitude looked on with bated breath, the father in an agony of hope and fear. Jesus asked, “How long is it ago since this came unto him?” The father told the story of long years of suffering, and then, as if he could endure no more, exclaimed, “If Thou canst do anything, have compassion on us, and help us.” “If Thou canst!” Even now the father questioned the power of Christ.  {DA 428.5}

Jesus answers, “If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.” There is no lack of power on the part of Christ; the healing of the son depends upon the father’s faith. With a burst of tears, realizing his own weakness, the father casts himself upon Christ’s mercy, with the cry, “Lord, I believe; help Thou mine unbelief.”  {DA 428.6}   Jesus turns to the suffering one, and says, “Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.” There is a cry, an agonized struggle. The demon, in passing, seems about to rend the life from his victim. Then the boy lies motionless, and apparently lifeless. The multitude whisper, “He is dead.” But Jesus takes him by the hand, and lifting him up, presents him, in perfect soundness of mind and body, to his father. Father and son praise the name of their Deliverer. The multitude are “amazed at the mighty power of God,” while the scribes, defeated and crestfallen, turn sullenly away.  {DA 428.7}                                                                                                                                               It was an object lesson of redemption,–the Divine One from the Father’s glory stooping to save the lost. It represented also the disciples’ mission. Not alone upon the mountaintop with Jesus, in hours of spiritual illumination, is the life of Christ’s servants to be spent. There is work for them down in the plain. Souls whom Satan has enslaved are waiting for the word of faith and prayer to set them free.  {DA 429.3}   The nine disciples were yet pondering upon the bitter fact of their own failure; and when Jesus was once more alone with them, they questioned, “Why could not we cast him out?” Jesus answered them,  “Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.” Their unbelief, that shut them out from deeper sympathy with  Christ, and the carelessness with which they regarded the sacred work committed to them, had caused their failure in the conflict with the powers of darkness.  {DA 429.4}

The words of Christ pointing to His death had brought sadness and doubt. And the selection of the three disciples to accompany Jesus to the mountain had excited the jealousy of the nine. Instead of strengthening their faith by prayer and meditation on the words of Christ, they had been dwelling on their discouragements and personal grievances. In this state of darkness they had undertaken the conflict with Satan.  {DA 431.1}      In order to succeed in such a conflict they must come to the work in a different spirit. Their faith must be strengthened by fervent prayer and fasting, and humiliation of heart. They must be emptied of self, and be filled with the Spirit and power of God. Earnest, persevering supplication to God in faith–faith that leads to entire dependence upon God, and unreserved consecration to His work–can alone avail to bring men the Holy Spirit’s aid in the battle against principalities and powers, the rulers of the darkness of this world, and wicked spirits in high places.  {DA 431.2}

“If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed,” said Jesus, “ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove.” Though the grain of mustard seed is so small, it contains that same mysterious life principle which produces growth in the loftiest tree. When the mustard seed is cast into the ground, the tiny germ lays hold of every element that God has provided for its nutriment, and it speedily develops a sturdy growth. If you have faith like this, you will lay hold upon God’s word, and upon all the helpful agencies He has appointed. Thus your faith will strengthen, and will bring to your aid the power of heaven. The obstacles that are piled by Satan across your path, though apparently as insurmountable as the eternal hills, shall disappear before the demand of faith. “Nothing shall be impossible unto you.”  {DA 431.3}

If God has laid on your heart a burden to do a special work in the church and you are seeing that it is not being accomplished it is time to fast and pray

  • If loved ones who you prayed for years and it seems that they are only drifiting farther away from God  .. then you need to fast and pray
  • PRAYER AND FASTING ALWAYS ACOMPLISH SOMETHING  and A Whole church on its knees is irresistible

ANOTHER definition of fasting is anything that hinders prayer , so along with  abstaingin from food one will have to give up these things that rob our time like facebook , movies , television , video game s  etc and then spending that time in Prayer and in God’s word because if you are just abstaining from food only , it is nothing more than a diet or

In every person’s life there is a war inside of the carnal, has ever one ever noticed that when they awake in the morning the first thing they want to do is watch TV or something else, but as one disciplines themselves to seek the lord first it becomes easier. This is one of the ways in fasting is helpful because the only way the spiritual man can win is to starve the carnal nature. And when you go on a fast you are literally starving the carnal man. And you receive power when you feed upon the word of God, and receive the spiritual food. Remember the bible says man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeded out of the mouth of God. Mathew 4:4 so you have to spend time praying you have to spend time feeding on God’s word

THE DIFFERENT FASTS MENTIONED IN THE BIBLE

ABSOLUTE FAST > where you don’t drink any food or any water for example paul after he was blinded on the Damascus road did this Fast.

  • Esther after learning that all the jews were threatened by haman , did a total fast for three days
  • A total fast for more than 3 days is not recommended
  • A regular fast where only food is abstained from
  • Liquid fast , where only liquids are taken in Define the liquids > not soda or chubby , but the best kind of juice unsweetened vegetable juices
pulse 2
1. edible seed: an edible seed from a pod, e.g. a pea or bean, eaten fresh or dried
2. seed-pod plant: a plant that has pods as fruits and roots that bear nodules containing nitrogen-fixing bacteria, e.g. the pea, the bean, alfalfa, or clover
  •  Partial fast , or a Daniel   Now in the Daniel fast you only eat fruits and vegetables , and drink water                                                                                                                                                                                                 look in Daniel chapter 1  1:12       Prove thy servants, I beseech thee, ten days; and let them give us pulse to eat, and water to drink.   1:13       Then let our countenances be looked upon before thee, and the countenance of the children that eat of the portion of the king’s meat: and as thou seest, deal with thy servants.   1:14          So he consented to them in this matter, and proved them ten days.   1:15        And at the end of ten days their countenances appeared fairer and fatter in flesh than all the children which did eat the portion of the king’s meat.   1:16 Thus Melzar took away the portion of their meat, and the wine that they should drink; and gave them pulse.

Again we see it being mentioned in Daniel chapter 10

10:1        In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a thing was revealed unto Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar; and the thing [was] true, but the time appointed [was] long: and he understood the thing, and had understanding of the vision.

10:2       In those days I Daniel was mourning three full weeks.

10:3       I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled.

10:4       And in the four and twentieth day of the first month, as I was by the side of the great river, which [is] Hiddekel;

If you are planning on doing the Daniel Fast You don’t need to go on any website if you are thinking of doing this fast , you don’t need to go and buy a lot of expensive things  just follow the biblical counsel , foods vegetable and water .

The bible says prove me now. ( this is a good time to interject that if you have been unfaithful in returning your tithes and offerings now is as good a time as any to make it righ with God. ) You have everything to gain from doing a Daniel fast ,

This is what the spirit of prophecy says about the appetite , in counsels on diet and health

The controlling power of appetite will prove the ruin of thousands, when, if they had conquered on this point, they would have had moral power to gain the victory over every other temptation of Satan. But those who are slaves to appetite will fail in perfecting Christian character. The continual transgression of man for six thousand years has brought sickness, pain, and death as its fruits. And as we near the close of time, Satan’s temptation to indulge appetite will be more powerful and more difficult to overcome.  {CD 59.3}  and remember this is holy spirit inspired writing .

My friends is there a time that we need to get serious about prayer and fasting it is this generation . If it is your desire to have a deeper more intimate relationship with Christ < I believe that fasting and prayer and heeding The word of God is the Way to Go .

My challenge to you is to do a a 21 day Daniel fasting and prayer , and then just record the blessings that God has given you

Pray about if you think That God is leading you to fast and pray

  • If you stuggle with appétit the answer is praying and fasting
  • If you have a besetting sin that always seems to get you down the answer is fasting and prayer
  • If you have a serious decision to make the answer is prayer and fasting  , so That God will lead and direct you
  • IF YOU HAVE A problem with forgiveness the answer is fasting and prayer
  • If you have a problem with you r devotional life , you cant pray for more than 1 minute  , the bible seems boring  the answer is fasting and prayer

a message to all seventh day Adventists

Doctrine Must Bear Scrutiny of Great Men.– “Search the Scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life.” Every position of truth taken by our people will bear the criticism of the greatest minds; the highest of the world’s great men will be brought in contact with truth, and therefore every position we take should be critically examined and tested by the Scriptures. Now we seem to be unnoticed, but this will not always be. Movements are at work to bring us to the front, and if our theories of truth can be picked to pieces by historians or the world’s greatest men, it will be done. {Ev 69.1}
We must individually know for ourselves what is truth, and be prepared to give a reason of the hope that we have with meekness and fear, not in a proud, boasting, self-sufficiency, but with the spirit of Christ. We are nearing the time when we shall stand individually alone to answer for our belief. Religious errors are multiplying and entwining themselves with Satanic power about the people. There is scarcely a doctrine of the Bible that has not been denied.–Letter 6, 1886.

Is Rihanna’s DIAMONDS a sinister song ??

is rihanna shining bright or just reflecting sinister ideas ?

is rihanna shining bright or just reflecting sinister ideas ?

It really just  hit me who Rihanna was talking about when she said shine bright like a diamond. What does she mean by shining to whom is she referring. well to start off ill tell you that i am coming from a christian perspective , if you are familiar with the bible it tells us that lucifer was once a covering cherub , who was honored and exalted , however was not satisfied with his position . although created the perfect the bible says iniquity was found in his heart , yes he wanted to shine brighter than God, the bible tells you in Isaiah 14:13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: 14:14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. 14:15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. WOW

ezekiel 28:14 Thou [art] the anointed cherub and I have set thee [so]: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
28:15 Thou [wast] perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.
28:16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.
28:17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy >>>>>>brightness<<<<< I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.
  ok so lucifer was Bright what does that prove ?

Well in the bible his name literally means son of the morning to Luciferians he is the bringer of light , so to them fire and light are important.. so is the SUN.Lucifer is a belief system that venerates the essential characteristics that are affixed to Lucifer. The tradition, influenced by Gnosticism, usually reveres Lucifer not as the Devil, but as a liberator or guiding spirit or even the true god as opposed to Jehovah1. Helena Blavatsky is the founder of the theosophy society and she along with many gnostics and new agers beleive that , the true God Lucifer would ascend to the upper world and defeat God. They believe that Satan is the true Lord of Light,“Lucifer, as Christ, the bright and morning Star The Father is the Sun.” -Helena Blavatsky, The Secret Doctrine, Vol. II pg. 569

So we see these concepts of stars etc can have a sinister meaning

by saying saying shine bright is she urging lucifer on ? is she saying where her allegiance lies?

                                                     more sinister stuff

On her album cover she rolls a spliff/joint/blunt ( marijuana cigarette ) with diamonds instead of weed . What is she saying here ? i can infer many things but i leave it to the imagination , and  just to let you know that her reference to “palms rise to the universe as we moonshine and molly.” Both are references to drinking and drugs i found that out thanks to http://www.commonsensemedia.org/Rihanna the review states “wouldn’t be Rihanna without some kind of edgy reference to drugs or sex. In this case, it’s the former. The lyrics say “Palms rise to the universe as we moonshine and molly, feel the warmth, we’ll never die.” “Moonshine” is a reference to drinking and “molly” refers to the drug Ecstasy — known for its ability to produce a feeling of love, invincibility, and happiness”( temporary feeling ofcourse) . So, when Rihanna declares, “I choose to be happy” at the onset of “Diamonds,” we want to believe her and cheer her on in her quest. But, when that happiness is just coming in a pill or bottle, suddenly the inspiration is lost” The drug reference will go over many people’s heads, but there’s a good chance your teens will get it. no rihanna ( and every other musician who chooses to use their influence negatively )  its not cool  to glorify drugs in their music .  …………  once you start digging you really see how  sinister the song is .

 conclusion

yes this song is sinister

ephesians 5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove [them]. 5:12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. 5:13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light. 5:14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.

Jesus christ is the true light  Ephesians5:8 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life

APPENDIX
Shine bright like a diamond
Shine bright like a diamond

Find light in the beautiful sea
I choose to be happy
You and I, you and I
We’re like diamonds in the sky

You’re a shooting star I see
A vision of ecstasy
When you hold me, I’m alive
We’re like diamonds in the sky

I knew that we’d become one right away
Oh, right away
At first sight I left the energy of sun rays
I saw the life inside your eyes

So shine bright, tonight you and I
We’re beautiful like diamonds in the sky
Eye to eye, so alive
We’re beautiful like diamonds in the sky

Shine bright like a diamond
Shine bright like a diamond

ANGUS JONES’s TESTIMONEY

Angus T Jones recently came out and called , two and a half men filth , so what ? He has recently been studying the bible and has converted to the Seventh-day Adventist faith . in the interest of disclosure so you can know where i stand i want to say that i the writer of the post is too a seventh day Adventist. however what has not surprised me about this is how the media have taken it and misconstrued it . all of a sudden he has joined a cult , and saying that he has been misguided by a spiritual guide , in no way shape or form did he refer to the man who was doing the interview as his spiritual guide, i distinctly heard him say that he has found God , but the media have chosen to dwell on the apparent negatives , even venturing to bring his parents criminal record into the fore what about the fact that this celebrity who admitted to using drugs has made a decision to live for Christ couldn’t that be a headline ? no i guess broken child stars are more lucrative i bet they would have been happier if he had followed in the footsteps of charlie sheen  . no no TMZ and other such sites have skewed the story just so they can sell a story. further more  the seventh day Adventist church is not a cult , it seems  all of you have forgotten the church of scientology . I  don’t hear anybody crying out about the hollywood celebs who are involved in that .  the young man has made a decided step and made a decision whats the big deal ,he has made a stand choose you this day whom you will serve and take the boys advice   and  ” DO SOME RESEARCH ON THE EFFECTS OF TV AND YOUR BRAIN ”
